The most simple concept is to purchase more tickets, so, if you were to by an extra 9 tickets, making the total 10, then you'd have significantly increased the chances to approximately 1 in 7.6 million. These are still not great numbers and you'd ask yourself if it is actually worth spending the extra money!
Buying more tickets isn't an option for most people, so one of the the next best things to do is to play your game in a lottery syndicate. Lottery syndicates are run, usually, by groups of friends, families, workplaces and colleagues.
Playing in a lottery syndicate can make a significant difference and can increase your chances of winning the lottery by surprising ammounts.

Lottery syndicates are very common throughout the world and can very often be found within workplaces, clubs, charities and indeed, families.
So what are the benefits and drawbacks?
The main benefit, and the reason most people join lottery syndicates, is that the odds of winning a prize are reduced, often dramatically. You can work out the odds by taking the number of lottery tickets purchased by the syndicate and multiplying it by the published figures from the lottery organiser, for example:
A lottery syndicate has 10 members and the syndicate purchases 20 lottery tickets.
The lottery organiser in this example published the odds of a jackpot win as 1 in 1,000,000 or 1,000,000 to 1.
If we take the number of tickets purchased (20) and calculate the new odds, we will arrive at a figure of 20 in 1,000,000 or 1,000,000 to 20 otherwise expressed as 1 to 50,000 or even as a 2000% better chance of winning the jackpot.

The upside of playing in a syndicate is that you stand more chances of winning and winning more often, although, on the whole, you’ll find that the prizes are smaller due to the fact that you are sharing all prizes with your fellow members.
Lottery syndicates are not for everyone, some people prefer to chance their luck rather than play the ‘mathematical’ game. Finding a good, well organised, syndicate is not always easy. Consider the organiser, the level of trust and their ability to always remember to purchase tickets on behalf of the syndicate, it sounds a little daft, but it would not be the first time a syndicate thought they’d won a large sum only to find that the entries were not placed.

I enjoy playing lottery games and it's great that there's a wide choice of games to play. I prefer games with big jackpots to games with smaller jackpots. That's why I think that the Pick 3 lottery game sucks. First of all, it should be noted that, in the long-run, 99% of regular lottery players will lose money overall. That's just the nature of these games. Many people win small prizes and very few win big prizes. Most people understand this but continue to play because it's a dream to them to one day be an instant millionaire. Having that small chance to hit it big is why most people play lotteries.
Then we get to the Pick 3 lotto game. You cannot win big prizes playing it - Only small prizes. Usually the biggest prize that you can win in Pick 3 is $500. That's not a life-changing jackpot by any means. As with all lotteries, the more you play Pick 3, the more you will lose, but there's no chance that you would strike it rich one day.
Look at it another way - The odds of winning the Pick 3 jackpot are 1-in-1000. So, if you buy one ticket a day for 1000 days straight, you will spend exactly $1000 (Assuming the ticket costs $1 to play) and you're expected winnings will be $500. So, you would be expected to lose $500. And, there's no chance of a big, life-changing jackpot.
That's why I don't like to play Pick 3 and why I think it sucks, but continue to play games that offer high jackpots.

Guernsey's charity £1m lottery jackpot has been won by a 20-person syndicate.
The winning number was drawn on Saturday night. The draw was originally due to take place on 11 October but was put back because of slow ticket sales.
The lottery is run by the Friends of Les Bourgs Hospice to raise funds to help replace outdated facilities.
The hospice, which is independently run and relies entirely on public support, needs about £700,000 a year to meet its operational costs.

Let's begin by comparing the cost of a lottery ticket and the cost of an average stock. The cost of one lottery ticket is approximately $1.00 dollar in every state in the United States. The average cost of a stock in any advertised company in the U.S. starts at $4.00 dollars. So if we just observe the numbers on a pure financial comparison four dollars is more than one dollar. So in essence in one share of stock you could potentially loose $4.00 dollars in a market turn of events. In the case of the lottery ticket you will loose $1.00 dollar in the lottery drawings when your numbers wasn't picked.
This right here in theory show some proof to my title of this article. However I can hear the Howells of protest stating "if I an invest in a stock I have a share of the company and if the market turns I don't loose that share I just lost the value of the stock". The stock market can come back and the shares could be worth more. If you come to this conclusion than you are technically right.
But indulge me and read just one more paragraph to consider the rebuttal to this point. If you loss the value of the stock and you still retain the stock did you still loose the initial money you paid for the stock? The answer is yes. In fact you may be loosing more if you consider the fees you will have to still pay to you financial planner or broker.

A variation is a buy-to-let scheme where companies offer to source, renovate and manage properties, claiming good returns from rental income. Work-at-home and business opportunity scams: often work by advertising paid work from home but which require money up-front to pay for materials; or by requiring investment in a business with little or no chance of success.

You can receive an email from "your" bank or paypal asking you to log in in order to..(say verify something) the page you are redirected is actually a phishing page and all the information,including your account passwords will be stolen. DO NOT EVER trust any emails like this. If in doubt,call your bank or go directly to the website(eg. www.ebay.com) and inter your account details there.
2. EBay scams may involve people trying to buy goods from you with money order,where they pay you with fraudulent bill. You sent the goods,thinking your bank will clear this up,but it would not.... Always wait until the money are cleared by your bank,before sending stuff. Sometimes they use their own shipping company.
3. Ebay scam which is also popular involves stealing someone elsese account(by the means of #1,etc). Then they post an item for sale for a price you can't resist. When you purchase it, they will ask you to pay,using money order or similar service. They can also set up a fake escrow service. Beware.
Use commone sense for every purchase. If it's too good to be true- IT IS. No free cheese in this world other than for your pets :)

More than 100 lottery millionaires from the past 15 years have gathered for what could be the richest Sunday brunch in the country.
Collectively worth more than £400 million, the National Lottery winners toasted the 15th anniversary of the game that made them rich.
Since it was launched in 1994, the National Lottery has created more than 2,300 millionaires and paid out more than £36 billion.
Mark Gardiner and his business partner Paul Maddison from Hastings, East Sussex, are still Britain's biggest ever winners of the National Lottery, although their £22.5 million payout was dwarfed by last week's Euromillions £91 million jackpot.
Mr Gardiner joked: "We're not going to let anyone else take our title and we are prepared to defend it."
He has told in the past how the win brought its own share of problems, including bitter rifts with family and friends, and said that Lotto winners should be prepared for their lives to change. He said: "Anyone who says it isn't going to change them is either wrong or lying. Of course it's going to change your life, hopefully for the better."
Mr Gardiner has found love again, after a string of failed marriages, with his first wife Bridget Baker and the couple now have a four-year-old son. Ms Baker said: "The biggest way it's changed my life is that I'm not a working mum. I can work but I can choose when I work. I cherish the time I have with our son now."
Dawn and Derek Ladner, an office clerk and a fireman, were lucky not once but twice after Mr Ladner bought a second ticket for the same draw, having forgotten he had already bought one. The couple won a total of £958,000, split into two shares of £479,000, in 2007. Mr Ladner said the money was just enough to allow him and his wife to retire and enjoy life in Redruth, Cornwall.

This is the best lottery software out there, in my opinion.
